June 2011, Knowledge Dimension announces TriSystems partnership
Midrand based Knowledge Dimension announces a strategic relationship with London based Acord Insurance messaging specialists, TriSystems.
The South African Insurance Laws Amendment Act requires that insurers have access to their clients' data. Currently, not all insurers have access to full sets of data.
Based on the Acord standards, the SAIA and the Financial Intermediaries Association (FIA) have embarked on an endeavor to tackle the significant challenge of data sharing between insurers, brokers and other providers.
TriSystems has a successful track record of helping companies achieve similar goals in the London market based around it's UMG suite of products. Among it's 40+ UK customers are Insurers Zurich, Charits, Brit and Brokers Willis and Marsh. TriSystems products are used by Acord to validate companies' adherence to the Acord standards.
"Acord is a great initiative to standardise data sharing formats through the Insurance supply chain. However, even with a standard in place, managing the sending and receiving of Acord messages is extremely complex. The industry should not underestimate the technical challenges it presents and should seriously consider proven technology. TriSystems has won 14 Awards for our work with Acord and we can definitely claim to be experts", says Kevin Stilwel, Head of Sales at TriSystems.
"Knowledge Dimension understand the challenges and have the technical expertise to share our hard earned best practice knowledge with the South African market".
